Parenting Coordination

Do you have children? Were you or are you involved in a custody or divorce case? Do you have difficulties co-parenting with your ex-spouse or partner? Parenting coordination may be right for you and your family.

The goal of parenting coordination is to assist parents in conflict to implement their parenting plan, monitor compliance with that plan, resolve conflicts regarding their children, and to protect and sustain positive parent-child relationships. Judges are increasingly ordering the use of parenting coordination in high conflict cases.

Some roles of parenting coordinators include:

-Educating the parties about child development, parenting skills, and communication skills.

-Assisting the parties to work out disagreements regarding the children.

-Aiding with communication between the parties.

-Making decisions when parents are not able to decide or resolve disputes on their own.

Qualified parenting coordinators are family law attorneys or mental health professionals that specialize in family conflict. Nicole began her career representing children in high conflict family situations, making her an understanding, fair, and child-focused parenting coordinator.
